Kisumu All Stars remained top of the National Super League standings following a 2-0 win over Eldoret Youth on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. Challengers Wazito FC and Ushuru lost ground as they lost their assignments to Modern Coast and Bidco United respectively.
A goal by Ian Mutanda and an own goal by Eldoret Youth saw Kisumu All Stars hit the 63-point mark, three points clear of second-placed Wazito. Ushuru is third with 59 points, while Nairobi Stima, who edged out Talanta 2-0 at Camp Toyoyo, rounds up the top four list with 58 points.
Green Commandos, meanwhile, have found the going tough, especially after their 3-1 loss to Kangemi All-Stars. Despite going 1-0 up inside the first ten minutes of the game, Commandos fell to a Kangemi side that capitalized on their chances, scoring two penalties in the win.
