Kenya Sevens head coach Benjamin Ayimba has named his squad for this weekend’s Africa 7s cum Rio 2016 Olympic Qualifiers set for Johannesburg, South Africa.
Ayimba’s 12-man squad saw Willy Ambaka recalled to the team which he last played for in the 2012/13 season, while Jeffrey Oluoch and Frank Wanyama earned their debut call-ups.
However, veteran forward Humphrey Kayange will not be traveling due to injury which has also kept out Bush Mwale.

Andrew Amonde will captain the side which boasts players with worldwide experience including Collins Injera, Biko Adema and Dennis Ombachi.
Ayimba expects his side to be a marked side but says the stakes in store are way too high for them to miss.
“Everybody is going to come hard at Kenya, but we are well prepared,” he said.
“We have a team that is the best we can ask for as a technical bench. We are fired up…the incentive is to qualify for the Olympics.”
A total of 12 teams are expected to brawl for the one automatic slot remaining, while the second, third and fourth-placed sides will enter the next round of qualifiers.
