Muhoroni Youth have started beefing up their squad ahead of the 2016 Kenyan Premier League season by snapping up strike Lwamba Bebeto from relegated Nakuru All Stars as well as midfielder Moses Arita from Ushuru FC.
Bebeto has penned a three-year contract with the Awasi-based club who are set to lose their topscorer last season, George Mandela, to Bandari FC.
The Congolese was All Stars’ joint topscorer in the 2015 season, chipping in with 9 goals, same as Boniface Akenga who has moved to FKF Premier League side Kariobangi Sharks.
“Bebeto has been with us for a while now, and the technical bench strongly recommended that we make him a part of us. You know that he is a foreigner and that required a lot of precision when drafting his contract,” Muhoroni Chairman Moses Adagala told the league’s official portal.
Arita ready for Muho challenge
Arita, 26, has penned a two-year contract after a relatively fine season at Ushuru where he finished as the club’s topscorer with 9 goals from midfield.
“I have left Ushuru and now I am ready for the next challenge. Everyone at Ushuru has been kind to me and I thank them for all the support that they have accorded me. I pray that they give me their blessings as I embark on this next step,” he said.
The duo are expected to link up with their new teammates on January 11, 2016.
