Cape Town Sevens: Kenya Qualify For Semis






Kenya Sevens continue with their fine form at the Cape Town when they  thrashed USA 26-10 to reach the semifinals of this year’s competition. Collins Injera and Willy Ambaka scored two tries each with Biko Adema adding three conversions as Kenya beat USA 26-10 to reach the cup semis at the Cape Town Sevens.

Kenya led 19-0 in the first half courtesy of two tries by Willy Ambaka and another try by Collins Injera. Two of those tries were converted by Biko Adema.

Kenya had on the opening day forced England to a 19-19 draw which was followed by a 14-12 win over hosts South Africa. Benjamin Ayimba’s charges would then close the day with a 36-0 win over Zimbabwe.

The last time Kenya beat USA was during the 2013-2014 at the London Sevens when they won 25-5 on the day. 

Kenya will face Argentina in the semifinals at 5:56pm. Argentina defeated New Zealand 22-19 in extratime during their quarterfinal tie.

The other semifinal match will feature hosts South Africa against  France.
