Former AFC Leopards midfielders Victor Omune and Khalid Jumaan have both found new sides after being released by the club at the beginning of June.
Jumaan agreed to drop down to the lower tier, signing a one-year contract with National Super League side Nakumatt FC who are on the hunt for Premier League promotion. They are currently second on the log on 33 points just one behind leaders Nzoia United but who have played a game more.
The Aspire Academy product was until his release one of Leopards’ longest serving players but he never really established himself as a first choice player in his preferred No. 10 role or anywhere on the pitch. He was sparingly used by Leopards former boss Zdravko Logarusic while current boss Ivan Minnaert gave him just a little sniff this season.
His former teammate, Victor Omune, was at some point a regular in Leopards side during the first half of the season but nagging injuries saw him increasingly fall down the pecking order until he was deemed surplus to requirements.
The lanky forward will from this coming weekend be wearing the all-yellow kit of Muhoroni Youth. The sugar belt outfit have handed him a two-year contract and he could make his debut away to Nairobi City Stars this Saturday.
