AFC Leopards striker Gilbert Fiamenyo has left the club for Libyan topflight club Al Nasr.
The Bulldog forward missed the club’s defeat against Western Stima this past Sunday and it has now been confirmed that he’s departed for the North African side who are based in Bengahzi. A club statement confirming the developments read:
“We wish to notify our members and fans that the club received and has accepted a release request from Gilbert Fiamenyo. He leaves to join Al Nasr club in Libya with immediate effect.
“Details of the deal will be communicated in due course. We wish Gilbert all the best in his new club and thank him for the service he gave us during his stay.”
Leopards signed the former Hearts of Oak striker in August 2016 and has been their go-to goal-getter since the 2017 Kenyan Premier League season kicked off.
He contributed five goals and an assist for Leopards, putting him third in the race for the golden boot.
