Kenya’s downward spiral in the FIFA World Rankings continued with the country dropping down a place to 116th in the world in the latest rankings released May 5.
A month of inactivity in world football didn’t do much harm to the Harambee Stars who last month dropped down 12 places after a two-legged loss to Guinea-Bissau in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
They however remain 33rd in Africa.
Kenya, Chad (-1 to 98), Mauritania (-6 to 109), Kazakhstan (-1 to 117) and Kuwait (-14 to 140) were the only nations that dropped in the rankings in the top 140.
There were no changes in the Africa or world rankings with Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Senegal and Egypt occupying top five in Africa in that order while Argentina are the world’s best followed by Belgium Chile, Colombia and Germany.
