Gor Mahia midfielder, Collins ‘Gatusso’ Okoth and his Tusker counterpart, Humphrey Mieno as well as three other players have been added to Harambee Stars squad as they prepare for the upcoming 2016 Fifa World Cup qualifiers and the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup set for November.
The duo, alongside Thika United captain Dennis Odhiambo were curiously missing from the initial 31-man list released by Stars boss Bobby Williamson on Monday evening. Also added to the squad are FKF Premier League duo Nicholas Kipkirui who has scored 12 goals for Zoo Kericho and Ken Maritim who has the same number of goals for Ligi Ndogo.
Williamson’s current squad has a wealth of experienced players and unfamiliar faces. His initial squad saw the likes of Innocent Wafula (Gor Mahia), Brian Birgen and Omar Mbongi (Ulinzi Stars), Chrispinus Onyango (KCB), Mark Bikokwa Barasa (Nzoi United) and Calvins Omanga (Palos FC) called up, alongside household names like Michael Olunga, Victor Wanyama and Allan Wanga.
