Harambee Stars U20 Squad to Take on Egypt and Tanzania Named

A provisional Harambee Stars U20 squad that is set to hit camp at the Kasarani Stadiu on Sunday evening ahead of friendly matches against Tanzania and Egypt in March.

AFC Leopards’ duo of Yusuf Mainge and Marvin Omondi headline the called up names alongside fellow Kenyan Premier League counterparts; Humphrey Katasi(Nzoia Sugar),Francis Atwoli(Sofapaka) and Brian Bwire of Kariobangi Sharks. Mathare United forward John Mwangi and Bandari’s Zakayo Keegan are also in the 30-man squad that will camp at the Sportview Hotel.

The selection was done after a four-day selection exercise that saw 100 players have a chance to audition for a place in the team. The players were scouted from the ongoing Chapa Dimba na Safaricom Youth tournament as well as the FKF Leagues.

The team is set to play a friendly match against Tanzania, and later on in March, a two-legged friendly against Egypt.
