AFC Leopards captain Martin Imbalambala has signed a one-year contract with Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League side Nakumatt FC.
Imbalambala who recently hit the headlines for his financial predicaments is the latest player to depart the troubled Ingwe den. They have already lost key defender Edwin Wafula to Tusker FC while goalkeeper Wycliffe Kasaya is also on his way out.
The now former Leopards captain now plans to help Nakumatt gain promotion. The FKF PL club have made contact with a host of other Leopards’ players including topscorer Jacob Keli.
Nakumatt Boys this past weekend came from a goal down to beat hosts Bidco United 3-2 in a league match played at Thika Stadium. Star Man Peter Nzuki converted two first half penalties, his 5th and 6th goals of the season as they moved to 9th on the log.
Imbalambala was among 6 players released by the Leopards early this month including, Joel Bataro, Clement Mmata, Dennis Dodi, Titus Wamalwa and Anthony ‘Modo’ Kimani.
