Orange, alias African Queens, won their 9th title and 5th in a row after they edged out Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) 2-0 at the City Park Stadium.
The African Queens started the game on a high raiding the Ghana’s defense and in the  7th minute Jackie Mwangi & Audrey Omaido shot at goal blocked by Goalkeeper. Their attempt however bore fruits in the 13th minute when Jackie Mwangi a converted a Penalty Corner (PC) putting Orange ahead.
GRA raided the Orange D and with 10 min to half time they got got their 1st PC but failed to convert. GRA continued their quest to equalize and with 7 minutes to go Opuk missed a chance to score after going past Orange and with a minute and a half to go Audrey Omaido missed 2 chances to put the African Queens ahead.
2nd half started and 3 minutes into the game Orange got their 3rd PC but Lilian Aura missed to find the back of the net. Orange efforts bore fruits in the 44th minute after Terry Juma added a second for the defending champs when she converted their 4th PC.
Orange coach Jos Openda thanked the technical bench and the team for their effort in ensuring that the team clinched the title in front of their home fans.
In the 3rd and 4th place final, Kada Queens beat Heartland 4-2 to finish 3rd. Heartland were the 1st to score on the 4th and 16thminute through Onye Obianuju but Kada’s Moogiate Aghalelosa made a comeback in the 28th minute to score a goal for them.
6 minutes into the 2nd half, Ovoh Eloho and Irame Beauty scored to goals consecutively for Kada and in the 66th minute Ikiriko Faith converted a PC sealing their position 3 - Hockey Kenya

Trustees of Ghana men's hockey club will grace the 2nd edition of the Heroes Memorial Tournament which gets underway this Thursday evening at the City Park Stadium.

The West Africans is the only International team which will participate in the four day tournament that seeks to recognize people who made a mark in the sport.

In the draws which were released, women's local champions Orange Telkom will launch their title defense against Development X11 on Saturday in the five team event that will be played on the round robin format.

Other teams include Orange Rovers, sliders and Karate.

The men's category have attracted 12 teams that have been drawn in four pools.

Pool 'A' has Trustees of Ghana, Impala and Wazalendo Academy.

Pool 'B' will see Sikh Union come up against Thika Rovers and Wazalendo Youth.

Pool 'C' has Kenya College of Accountancy , Parkroad Badgers and Veterans XVIII and Pool 'D' has Wazalendo Hockey Club, Karate Axiom and Development XVII Boys.

On Thursday, Trustees of Ghana play Impala in the first match at 6pm as Sikh Union battle Wazalendo Youth in the second and final match of the day.

Winners in both Men and Women Competitions will take home Sh 50,000, runner up 30,000 and and 3rd Place will pocket 20,000.
