AFC Leopards have continued beefing of their squad ahead of the upcoming season by snapping left back Isaac Kipyegon from Zoo Kericho.
The skillful Kipyegon on Tuesday night penned down a three year deal with the Kenya Premier League (KPL) giants after weeks of negotiations.
The left back position has been hard to fill at Ingwe for years and it seemed sealed at the beginning of the just completed season when the club acquired the services of Moses Mburu from Mathare United and Ghanian Isaac Oduro. However, constant injuries to Oduro and a serious knee injury to Mburu left the club with limited options, forcing then coach Rodolfo Zapata to deploy winger Baker Luukoya in that position. Another left back Marcus Abwao who had joined the club from Nairobi Stima suffered a fractured ankle and missed the entire 2018 season.

Meanwhile the club has extended the contract of vice captain Salim Abdalla for three years. Talks between the two parties seemed to have broken down on Monday but a common ground was reached on Tuesday prompting the deal.
The club is still chasing the services of Joash Mawira and Isaac Isinde.
