Ingwe warns fans over fake merchandise

Kenya Premier League (KPL) side AFC Leopards have moved with speed to take control over the sale of its merchandise.

In a yet another  statement obtained by fourfourtwomedia,  the club has cautioned fans to be vigilant and report any suspicious sales of clubs branded merchandise to any official or the secretariat.

‘With the release of the official 2018 replica jerseys, AFC Leopards has put unscrupulous business people benefiting from illegal sale of club merchandise on notice,’

In conjunction with the Kenya Police and the club’s Anti-counterfeit Unit, the club is determined to arrest and charge any culprit in a court of law besides confiscating the contraband. The notice takes effect immediately, Said the club’s deputy secretary general Elijah Stazo.

According to Stazo, the club has since named authorized dealers who have been licenced by the club to sell the official replica on behalf of the 12-time Kenyan champions.

Part of the statement released read;

Our official merchandise will be sold at three points;

  1. AFC Leopards Office Vision Plaza Suite 1A Mombasa Road
  2. Acein Limited Somak House 3rd floor Mombasa Road
  3. Mary Ayuma(She will be selling on match days).

The official replicas are selling at Kshs 2000 each.
