Kenyan Premier League side AFC Leopards have completed the signing of five new players ahead of the 2017 season.
Duncan Otieno makes a u-turn to the team he abandoned last season to Posta Rangers. Defenders Dennis Shikayi and Mike Kibwage join from Western Stima and Kakamega Homeboyz respectively. Left back Marcus Abwao has also joined in from National Super League side Nairobi Stima.
According to the club’s official website, the club has also captured the services of Ibrahim Mao from Sofapaka while youngster Vincent Oburu joins from the Cubs.
Club CEO Ronald Namai has also confirmed that they have agreed on personal terms with Abdalla Yusuf ‘Shitu’v(Posta Rangers) and Samuel Ndung’u (Muhoroni Youth) and they are waiting for release letters from their respective clubs.
Kenyan International Yhvonne Isuza and midfielder Robinson Kamura are expected to sign for Ingwe once they have their contracts expire at Mathare United.
The club has also confirmed talks with Western Stima for the possible signing of Goalkeeper Gabriel Andika.
Meawhile Ghanian striker Gilbert Fiamenyo will arrive in the country on Wednesday evening and join the rest of the camp tomorrow for the preseason.
Fiamenyo who has several caps for the Black Stars was signed last year but was not cleared to play in the league. He has been out of action for over four months and it is unlikely that he will don the Rio Tinto until he gets full match fitness.
