Kariobangi Sharks scored five times in a single game for a second time this season as striker Eric Kapaito led them to a 5-2 rout of Nakumatt with a hat-trick.
The striker canceled Amani Kyata’s early opener for Nakumatt before resuming from the break even more lethal as he added two more goals.
Sharks went into the match gunning for a third successive victory which they managed thanks to their clinical edge up front.
Amani towered to head home a cross from Clinton Kisiavuki with just six minutes played. Sharks regrouped after the early scare and were rewarded for their enterprising play as Kapaito hit home the leveler after 27.minutes and George Abege drilled Sharks ahead just five minutes later.
William Muluya’s men would put the game to bed within the opening 15 second half minutes as Kapaito scored from the spot 10 minutes in before netting his 12th of the season at the hour mark.
Sydney Lokale also got in on the act, scoring a brilliant fifth for Sharks and despite John Njoroge netting late on, the Shield semifinalists took the win which moves them up to sixth on the log.
Chemo earn crucial result
Meanwhile Chemelil FC added three crucial points to their tally thanks to Felix Oluoch’s solitary first half strike that have them a 1-0 win over visiting Mathare United at the Chemelil Sports Complex.
The result temporary shoved Chemelil out of the chopping zone but they could be dragged right back in should Sunday results not go their way.
