Kenya Sevens will have a quick chance to exact revenge on France who knocked them out of Main Cup contention at the Paris Sevens after the two sides were drawn in the same group for this weekend’s London Sevens, the final leg of the 2015-16 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.
Shujaa were thumped 24-5 by France in the Cup quarterfinal in Paris with Benjamin Ayimba’s side dropping to the Plate semis which they also lost 26-7 to Australia.
The duo have been drawn in Group C for the London Sevens alongside Scotland and Portugal. Kenya will take on Portugal first then Scotland before wrapping up their group campaign against France in what is expected to be a top of the group decider.
Shujaa won bowl in the 2014-15 London 7s, beating Argentina 26-12.
Paris 7s champions Samoa headline a tough Group A which also has title-chasers South Africa, defending London champions USA and Canada.
Series leaders Fiji are in Group B alongside hosts England, Australia and Wales, while Pool D has Argentina, New Zealand, Russia and Brazil.
The event will be held on 20–22 May 2016 at Twickenham in London.
