Kenya Seeded Top for Paris Sevens Leg

After dancing to victory at the HSBC Singapore Sevens, Kenya Sevens will take a deserved rest before they regroup for the penultimate leg of the 2015-16 World Rugby Sevens Series set for Paris, France on 13-15 May, 2016 at Stade Jean Bouin.

Kenya shocked Series leaders and reigning champions Fiji 30-7 in the final played Sunday, April 17, to win their first ever title since making their debut some 17 years ago.

The victory gave Shujaa a maximum 22 points that saw them go up a spot in the standings to 7th with 85 points, just seven behind Argentina in 6th.

It also earned Benjamin Ayimba’s side top seed for the Paris leg where they will face New Zealand, Portugal and Russia in Group A.

Ben Ryan’s Fiji will battle Samoa who they lost to 28-14 in the Group stages in Singapore with Scotland and Wales the other members in Pool B.

South Africa, Australia, England and invited team Brazil are in Pool C, while Argentina will face hosts France, USA and Canada in Pool D.
