Leopards Closing on Kapama

AFC Leopards are on the verge of signing striker Nassur Kapama from Tanzania Premier League side Ndanda FC.
The lanky forward who helped his team avoid relegation last season is already in the country and is expected to pen down a deal with the Leopards who are currently preparing for the 2018/19 league season that kicks off on a week’s time.
If the deal doesn’t fall through, the forward will become the third high profile foreign import at the club since they captured Rwanda international goalkeeper Eric Bakame Ndayishimiye who penned down a two year deal with the 13-time Kenyan champions last week.
News from the club indicate that midfielder Shadrek Chimanya will not be part of the squad and will be released. The Zambian was believed to have penned down a two year deal with Ingwe but did not impress new coach Nikola Kovazovic. The much hyped Chimanya move has been the highlight of the transfer window with reports coming out that he lied in his CV to have himself sign at Ingwe. Failure to get a release letter and failing to impress during the club’s preseason might have contributed to the termination of his ‘contract’.
Last week the club invited Zimbabean Michelle Katsvairo and the 28-year old impressed on his debut versus Wazito at Camp Toyoyo and scored in his second appearance againt Posta Rangers.
The club is still shopping for a defender with Moses Chikati among those linked with moves to the den.
