Nakumatt FC temporarily went top of the National Super League (NSL) after claiming a comfortable 2-0 victory over Oserian FC in an early clash played at the Camp Toyoyo Grounds, Wednesday morning.
After an opening half that ended barren thanks to Nakumatt’s inability to convert some gilt-edged chances, the second tier behemoths came firing in the second interval but had to wait until the 75th minute to take the lead courtesy of former Sony Sugar winger Joshua Oyoo.
Captain Peter Nzuki made it 2-0 from the spot four minutes to the final whistle to give Giovanni Traoni’s side a third win on the bounce.
They go top of the log with 18 points, one better than second-placed Nzoia United who battle Ligi Ndogo at Camp Toyoyo from 2pm.
The biggest clash of the midweek will be in Kericho where title contenders Zoo Kericho and Kariobangi Sharks will tussle for points from 4pm, while Afraha Stadium will host a double header with Police FC hosting Palos FC and Nakuru All Stars facing Talanta.
