NSL: Wazito Inch Closer to Promotion, Reprieve for Migori Youth

By Greg Mulemi

Wazito hopes of regaining top flight football remained on course following a 1-0 win over Thika United on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Camp Toyoyo.

Teddy Osok scored the lone goal in the 94th minute of the game to take Wazito to 72 points, four ahead of Kisumu All Stars who lost 2-1 away to Modern Coast Rangers. Osok took advantage of a defensive lapse by Thika to fire home from close range after being teed off by substitute Collins Neto. The result meant that Thika sunk into the relegation zone replacing Migori Youth who managed a 0-0 draw against promotion  chasers Nairobi Stima.
