Rollball WC: Kenyan Men and Women Shine


Kenya ladies Rollball team has won her first two matches in the ongoing World Cup in Bangladesh.  The Kenyan ladies on Friday night thrashed Thailand 13-0 with Angela Kithinji who is participating in the world cup for the first time scoring four times captain Brenda Angaya and Purity Sciyengo scored 3 each in the romp. Others scorers were Stella Sikhilla who scored a brace and Monicah Ndunge.The ladies maintained a good record and a clean sheet when they swept aside Indonesia 13-0 on Sunday.

The win was a clear statement that the Kenyan ladies are out to defend the world title they won two years ago. Purity Sciyengo and Angela Kithinji  each scored four goals in what was a perfect performance for Jacob Nyaudo’s charges. 

The men team also posted good results, beating Denmark 5-3 in their second match played on Sunday. Albert Omware scored a hat trick Atenya Moses and Joseph Alukhala scoring goal apiece.The men play Sri Lanka and Phillipines next.
