Group A leaders, Australia, will use the same team that battled past Fiji in their World Cup opener when they face hosts England at Twickenham on Saturday.
The Aussies failed to earn a bonus point in their match against the Pacific Island nation who they beat 28-13. A much-changed side trounced Uruguay 65-3 in their second match but only one player will line up in the crunch clash against the hosts.
Bernard Foley returns at fly-half over Quade Cooper, with Michael Hooper alongside David Pocock in the back-row and Matt Giteau at inside-centre.
“This selection has been really clear on where we must improve and the level we must be at to compete with England,” said Australia coach Michael Cheika.
A win for Australia will all but see England become the first host nation to fail getting past the group stages.
Israel Folau; Adam Ashley-Cooper, Tevita Kuridrani, Matt Giteau, Rob Horne; Bernard Foley, Will Genia; Scott Sio, Stephen Moore, Sekope Kepu; Kane Douglas, Rob Simmons; Scott Fardy, Michael Hooper, David Pocock.
