AFC Leopards and Wazito will tussle for midweek points in their Kenyan Premier League round 6 catch up match at the Machakos Stadium, Wednesday (14)
The two sides have played a game less than all else due to Leopards previous engagement in the Caf Confederations Cup...
The duo will step into the match with contrasting form with 5th-placed Leopards having there of their last 4 league matches while the newly-promoted Wazito have only one win whole season, a 1-0 result over Sony Sugar on the opening day.
Leopards battled from behind to inflict first the league defeat on Mathare United, the match ending 4-3 in favor of 12-time topflight champions.
Wazito meanwhile shut out Posta Rangers 0-0, a fairly good result given their 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Kariobangi Sharks previously.
Leopards’ last meeting with Wazito was in last year’s Shield quarters which Ingwe won with an embarrassing 7-1 scoreline before going on to lift the title with victory over Sharks in the final.
Wazito boss Frank Ouna will be hoping that his boys learnt their lesson.
Victory for Leopards will move them second on 13 points, just behind leaders and reigning champions Gor Mahia. Wazito will get into the top 10 should they pick an unlikely win.
