Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has agreed a deal to become Chelsea boss next season, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish news outlet OK Diario, reports that the Argentine has agreed a bumper contract which will see him pocket £9.28m-per-season.
Simeone, 45, arrived at the Vicente Calderon in 2011 and has over the years established himself as one of the best coaches in Europe, helping Atletico to the 2014 La Liga title and finishing as runners-up in the Champions League behind Real Madrid in the same year.
Simeone has reportedly told Atletico that will leave to take charge at Stamford Bridge. The Blues are currently being managed by Guus Hiddink on a caretaker capacity after the sacking of Jose Mourinho last December.
Chelsea who are the Premier League defending champions, are currently 12th on the log, 20 points behind leaders Leicester City.
