Bandari FC reached their first FKF Shield final since their triumph in 2015 after a comfortable 6-1 thrashing of lowly SS Assad in the first semi-final hosted at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.
The Dockers scored five goals in the opening half and added another after the break to bring Assad’s dream campaign to a crushing finale.
Yema Mwama opened the floodgates inside two minutes with Abadallah Hassan adding a brace before Darius Msagha and Wycliffe Ochomo – who replaced an injured Mwama – adding the other two before the breather.
William Wadri added the sixth two minutes after the break to complete the rout which could have been larger had Ochomo a hoard of chances that came his way.
In the final, Bandari will play either of KCB and Kariobangi Sharks who contest the other semi-final.
