Technical University of Kenya (TUK) climbed up a spot to fourth in the Sportpesa Super 8 Premier League after overpowering Diguna FC 1-0 in an absorbing match played this past weekend.
Kevin Okomo planted home a towering header in the 25th minute to give the students victory which could have been larger in margin had they not wasted a cluster of chances in the first half.
Luke Aluoch’s side are on 27 points, four points above sixth-placed Diguna after week 15 rounds.
Also celebrating victory were MASA who edged Kiambiu Youth 2-1. John Odongo netted to give Masa an early lead but Lawrence Musili ensured there was parity at the breather with a goal at the stroke of half time, the forward atoning for an earlier miss from the spot.
Kevin Wangwe however restored Masa’s lead six minutes after the hour mark to give his side victory that pulled them level on 19 points with 9th-placed Kiambiu.
In Rongai, Enock Gichuhi and Dennis Odongo scored either side of Julius Andende’s equalizer as Ajax piped visiting Metro Sports 2-1.
