After spending an incredible 22 hours on air in their trip from Nairobi to Praia, Cape Verde, for their World Cup qualifier return leg match, Kenya national team are set to spend at least another 15 hours on their trip back home.
The Harambee Stars left Nairobi on Monday, 9pm local time, and arrived in the Cape Verde capital on Tuesday 630pm, barely four hours before they faced the Blue Sharks in their return leg clash at Cape Verde National Stadium which was another 20-minutes drive from their hotel.
Fatigued, the local lads gave it a go but fell to a 2-0 defeat which saw them crash out 2-1 on aggregate.
The team is scheduled to depart Cape Verde at 1pm (5pm Kenyan time) and should be in Nairobi on Thursday 9am should they leave in time and use their scheduled route.
The delayed departure from Nairobi saw the team make stops in Entebbe, Uganda, Kano, Nigeria and Dakar, Senegal from where they were airborne for another six-and-a-half hours to the Cape Verde capital.
