Two red cards, a goal a piece and most importantly a point shared was the story of the day in the Kenyan Premier League match between Western Stima and Gor Mahia played at the Moi Stadium, Kisumu on Wednesday 12 February 2020.
Both sides fresh from defeats against Wazito and Sofapaka needed to bounce back from the setbacks, started the encounter on a high but it’s the visitors who got into the wrong sides of the referees’ book, Joash Onyango getting his matching orders barely ten minutes into the game.
Kenya international winger Clifton Miheso opened the scores in the 56th minute of the game after a pale first half that saw none of the keepers that busy. Stima responded later on with a fine finish, beating the offside trap but would soon get his matching orders for a rash tackle on midfielder Lawrence Juma.
K’Ogalo still top the log with 45 points from 20 matches while Stima occupy 7th spot with 32 points. In another midweek clash, Bandari collected maximum points at home after beating KCB 2-1.
